Gandia is less than 5 minutes drive away. It is a large town that still manages to retain its Spanish feel. It boasts all the usual shops plus supermarkets, Cinema complex and funfair, but still has a traditional heart with historical buildings dating back to the Borgias. |

Gandia is a busting place with tree-lined avenues, pavement cafes and lovely restaurants and tapas-bars. Gandia beach area has miles of sandy beaches and a long promenade, fishing harbour and marina and as far as restaurants are concerned you will be spoilt for choice plus several nightclubs and a casino.
There is a frequent train service from Gandia to Valencia with excellent access to motorways and road networks. Explore the mountain villages, follow scenic driving routes to discover waterfalls, laze on miles of golden beaches or take advantage of the areas excellent golf facilities.
Visit the cosmopolitan city of Valencia which can be reached by car or train. It´s a city full of both old and new architecture with the centre being quite Gothic and the outskirts having an impressive modern science museum and Aquarium.
Alternatively, you could visit Benidorm with Terra Mitica Theme Park , Mundomar Seaworld and Aqualandia Water Park which is just a 30 - 40 minute drive south. Also the Safari Park, in Vergel, is an unforgettable experience for children.
Golfing on the Costa Blanca and Costa de Valencia
For golfing enthusiasts there are many excellent golf courses in the area. In Valencia, located on a narrow stretch of dunes and dense pinewoods, separating the Albufera Lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea , is the El Saler Golf Course, ranked among the Top 10 in Europe and Top 100 in the world. The adjacent Albufera Lagoon is a vast expense of brackish waters and rice paddies, which is also a natural reserve full of birds and wild life. Other courses in and around Valencia to note include, Club de Golf Manises, Club de Golf El Bosque and Club of Golf Escorpion. The prestigious Oliva Nova Golf Course is within a 20 minute drive from the villa. This course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and is reasonably priced and boats an excellent clubhouse with restaurant. Nearby La Sella, Denia and Javea golf courses offer excellent driving ranges and facilities.
